Ask Shopify's assistant to build a drawer, change its cards, or tell you how your offers are doing.

PromoDrawer works with Sidekick, Shopify’s assistant in your admin. Ask in your own words: it reads your drawers, builds new ones and changes cards for you. Every change waits in the PromoDrawer editor until you save it.

Ask about your drawers

“Which drawers are showing on my product pages?”

“How did the summer sale drawer do last week?”

Sidekick answers with what each drawer shows, where and when, and with views, opens, clicks and orders after a click for each drawer and card.

Build a drawer

“Make me a summer sale drawer with 15% off using SUMMER15, and a countdown to Sunday.”

Sidekick opens a new drawer in the PromoDrawer editor with the cards filled in. Check the preview, change anything you like, and click Save. Sidekick asks before it uses PromoDrawer, until you tell it not to ask again.

Change a drawer

With a drawer open in the editor, ask Sidekick to:

• add, change, move or remove cards, and switch a card’s layout
• rename the drawer or change the words on its button
• change the pages it shows on, or its start and end dates
• turn the drawer or a card on or off

When a drawer has two cards of the same type, Sidekick asks which one you mean.

What to change in the editor instead

Sidekick doesn’t change image and video cards, card colors, the drawer’s design, fonts or position, URL and device conditions, translations, or the order drawers show in, and it doesn’t delete or duplicate drawers. It tells you where in PromoDrawer to make those changes.

Good to know

• Nothing goes live until you click Save. Discard throws the changes away.
• Sidekick works on every plan. A card type your plan doesn’t include is added turned off.
• A discount code card needs a code you’ve created in Shopify Discounts. A product or collection card Sidekick can’t match to your store is added turned off until you choose one in the editor.
